At Karri, we love moments that remind us what this journey is really about: helping families manage money safely — and creating opportunities for communities to grow stronger together.
Our Spend. Win. Give campaign does exactly that. Every win comes with a feel-good twist: a prize for the winner, and a meaningful donation to a cause close to their heart.
This month, we celebrated a very special winner.
Alunamda, a learner from Thornton Primary School, was announced as our latest Spend. Win. Give winner — and his prize came with double the impact:
Alunamda’s win was exciting, but what stood out most was how thoughtfully he approached the giving part of his prize.
The charity he chose: Living Through Learning (LTL), Diep River
Alunamda selected Living Through Learning (LTL), a non-profit organisation based in Diep River, because of the real difference they make in the early years of education.
LTL focuses on supporting learners in the foundational phase, helping to strengthen the building blocks of learning through:
For Alunamda, the mission of LTL was clear: when learners are supported early, their future becomes brighter — and that’s exactly why he chose them.

The handover took place on Friday, 27 February at 12:00, at the Living Through Learning premises in Diep River — and it was a day filled with pride, excitement, and purpose.
Alunamda arrived with his entire family, making the moment even more meaningful. Together, we celebrated his win and handed over the donation to the LTL team.
During the visit, we also had the privilege of receiving a tour of the LTL offices, giving us a closer look at the work happening behind the scenes to support young learners every day.
Capturing the moment
We captured some special content from the day, including:
Spend. Win. Give isn’t just about rewards — it’s about teaching kids that money can be used wisely, responsibly, and generously.
With the Karri Card, children get the freedom to learn real-world money habits, while parents stay in control. And with Spend. Win. Give, learners also get to experience something powerful: the joy of giving back.
We’re proud of you, Alunamda — not only for winning, but for choosing a charity that supports learners right at the start of their school journey. Your generosity will help make a real impact where it matters most.
And to the Living Through Learning team: thank you for the work you do every day to build stronger foundations for South Africa’s future learners.
